ND Profile

Natalie Scheer, ND

I’m Natalie Scheer. I received an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am a member of the Confident Clinician as well as The Menopause Society.

I focus my practice on supporting women transitioning through perimenopause and menopause, as well as navigating long-term health goals for postmenopausal women.

I target hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal changes, insomnia, weight gain and other common discomforts that can leave women feeling uncomfortable in their bodies. I also focus on postmenopausal support including bone health, cardiovascular support and cognitive changes that can occur.

There are many changes that the body goes through during this transition and it is a time when women often feel alone and unsupported. In naturopathic medicine, we have a unique ability to spend time with patients and create tailored treatment plans that align with patient’s goals. I take into account personal health history and patient preference to customize treatment plans. Using evidence-based medicine, including supplements, menopausal hormone therapy, and lifestyle adjustments, I aim to alleviate symptoms and help women regain their sense of self, boosting their confidence and overall quality of life.

I understand firsthand how health can impact quality of life, and I am dedicated to ensuring that women navigate this phase of life with adequate support.

I see patients both virtually and in person at Durham Natural Health Centre and I look forward to supporting you to reach your health goals.
