Dr. Negin Sayar, ND is a licensed and registered naturopathic doctor with a primary focus in hormonal health, gut health and sleep disorders. She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine at the top of her class. Upon finishing her academic training, she completed a rigorous year of clinical internships at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, and the Parkdale Community Health Centre. During her internship, she was selected and given the opportunity to work in the highly competitive Oncology shift at the Integrative Cancer Centre where she received in-depth training in cancer and naturopathic oncology from experts in the field. Additionally, she holds a certificate in facial rejuvenation acupuncture. Prior to her naturopathic studies, she obtained her medical degree from Shiraz University of medical sciences in Iran. She then worked as a general practitioner in the hospitals and outpatient clinics where her passion for holistic medicine was triggered.
Dr. Negin approaches each patient with an individualized and evidence-based plan. She believes in being an advocate for her patients and empowering them to take an active role in every step of their health journey. Her clinical philosophy is to work with her patients as partners and to establish treatment plans and health goals as a team. Her number one priority in patient care is to foster a respectful, compassionate, and caring environment where patient-doctor collaboration results in creative, practical, and effective treatment plans that are unique to each patient. She employs various treatment modalities such as acupuncture/traditional Chinese medicine, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition (including nutraceutical prescriptions), counselling, and lifestyle modifications. She is committed to help her patients feel that their voice is heard, they are actively involved in their own healing journey, and that they are supported throughout every step.
When she is not in the office, you may probably find her at her kitchen, recreating healthy recipes, or in the hiking trails with her husband or perhaps sited by her favorite window playing a hang drum.
Dr. Negin is registered and in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP).
