Anne Hussain, ND

With a practice focused around PCOS, menstrual health, reproductive health, fertility, and hormonal issues, Dr. Anne practices outside of Newmarket in Sharon, ON and offers virtual care to anyone across Ontario. Her personal experience with polycystic ovarian syndrome drives her passion to empower and educate menstruators about their health so they can live their lives fully. She takes a patient-centred, collaborative, and intersectional approach to health and healthcare, and offers pay-what-you-can days throughout the year.

Focus areas: menstrual health, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), fertility/infertility, pregnancy support, PMS, PMDD, endometriosis, perimenopausal changes, menopause transition, hormone health, reproductive health, hormone therapy, acupuncture.

She is a retired birth doula, founder of the period education platform called The Period Literacy School, and author of the upcoming book, The Period Literacy Handbook (May 8, 2024).

She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, holding a general and therapeutic prescribing authority with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors, volunteers with organizations such as Naturopaths Without Borders, and sits on the board of directors of the Aurora Community Band. When she's not working with patients, she loves reading, advocating for better healthcare, spending time in nature, and playing her alto sax.
