Dr. Henehan is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor, registered in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She holds a general family practice with special interests in weight loss, digestive health, fertility, women’s health and hormonal balancing.
Her professional pursuits began after the completion of her undergraduate studies at York University (Toronto, ON), where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Dr. Henehan then went on to complete a 4-year post-graduate program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), where she earned her Doctor of Naturopathy Degree.
CCNM’s rigorous degree program includes in-depth training in each of the naturopathic modalities, with an equal focus on important biomedical sciences including, anatomy (cadaver lab), physiology, biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, as well as public health. As part of her clinical training, Dr. Henehan completed a 12-month internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC), where she provided direct care to her patients under the supervision of elder Naturopathic Doctors. During her final clinical year, she was fortunate enough to gain further hands-on clinical experience by interning at the Lakeshore Area Multi-services Project (LAMP), a large multidisciplinary community health clinic in Etobicoke, Toronto, which provides a wide range of health and social services to an underserved population.
Since graduating, Dr. Henehan has passed the standardized North American Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examination (NPLEx), as well as the Ontario clinical board exams. She is a member of the Ontario association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
