Dr. KFY is a Naturopathic Doctor and health educator who graduated with her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto in 2004. Prior to this, she had obtained her Bachelor in Physical Education where her focus was sports medicine. She practiced as a Sports Massage Therapist for 10 years before becoming a primary care physician.
Dr KFY has been in practice for 20 years with 15 of those in the forefront of naturopathic medicine leading and advancing clinical training in the Collegiate forum at The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Boucher Campus. She has vast experience in treating digestive health including in depth training in SIBO diagnosis and treatment. Dr KFY also focuses on treating: heart and immune health, stress support and managing hormone balance and also injury recovery and support.
Every patient comes in with a unique story, and presents an opportunity for Dr KFY to join their journey to health. There are a multitude of options and tools that Dr KFY may choose for restoring the body to health and balance using lifestyle changes, herbal medicine, Natural Health products or IV therapy, as well as Physical Medicine support. When not helping others investigate the root of their health concerns, you can find Dr. KFY enjoying time with family and friends, or out cycling on the extensive pathways in the lower mainland.
Dr. Fairman-Young has additional certifications in acupuncture, IV therapy, and is licensed to prescribe Pharmaceuticals in B.C. She is licensed with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC (CNPBC) and a member in good standing of the British Columbia Naturopathic Doctors, Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
