After completing a four-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology at the University of Alberta, Dr. Wright moved to Toronto to pursue her passion in naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She successfully completed a 4-year Naturopathic program at CCNM, which included a clinic internship at Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. She also had the opportunity to work at Anishnawbe Health Toronto  and Sherbourne Health Centre. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Alberta with the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta.

Dr. Wright has supplemented the knowledge learned in school with that knowledge that can also be learned through continuing education courses, from peers and mentors and through life experience. Dr. Wright has received professional training in Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™, Yoga Therapy, Reiki, and has participated in training as a birth doula. In 2006, Dr. Wright traveled to India to research the intersection of traditional healing traditions, in the form of Ayurveda, with the conventional medical system. Dr. Wright  received her certificate in Infant Mental Health Promotion at York University in May 2014. She received training in Intravenous Nutrient Therapy with Dr. Virginia Osborne of International Intravenous Nutritional Therapy and maintains emergency procedures training related to IV administration.

Dr. Wright was born and raised in various communities in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Her experiences while growing up in the North fostered a desire to return and provide accessible, integrative health care choices to Northerners. She has an overwhelming desire to continue to learn and a sincere wish to help and educate others in a spirit of kindness and compassion.

Dr. Wright is currently practicing at Juniper Health located in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Juniper Health is a multi-disciplinary clinic offering primary care services and other therapeutic modalities. This location is equipped with an onsite botanical and supplement dispensary as well as laboratory facility.
