Would you like to work in Canmore? Here’s your chance! We are looking for a part-time ND to join us here in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
This position is ideal for an experienced ND. I’m sorry to say I’m too busy to be able to offer much in the way of mentorship for a new grad.
Practicing out here is very interesting. All of the associates I’ve been fortunate enough to work with say they love the variety of cases they see. However, it is very much a last-minute market. People book on their days off (which change) and there are a few tourists who will randomly book. So your schedule may look empty 3 days out, then magically fill 12 hours before your shift starts. It’s not for the faint of heart!
I am looking for an IV certified ND who ideally has a focus on women’s health & hormones. We have a high need out here for someone who focuses on fertility, PCOS, endometriosis, and all the “-rragias.” Women here need help with hormones!!
IV therapy: we have a fully stocked IV set up with a cozy 4-chair IV lounge.
Supplements: I have a modest dispensary and I’m happy to bring in any of your favourites. Locals don’t seem to like Fullscript (they don’t like the minimum order for free shipping) and prefer to pick up their supplements in person, so we do our best to accommodate them.
Reception: we have full time reception on hand for booking, payments, patient communications, lab chasing, and they can help you “flip” your room or IV area. I’ll be honest and admit I have struggled to find ”rockstar” receptionists out here, but my most recent hire might just be the unicorn I’ve been looking for…I’ll keep you posted.
Lifestyle: hike, bike, ski, snowboard, paddle board, run…the options are endless. I have a 4.5km loop I run from the clinic on my lunch break, right around the river with some of the most stunning scenery you can imagine. This position works best for those who make the most of the location – see patients and then get outside.
Start date: asap!
Days available: Monday – Saturday, ideally Saturday! There’s a huge need for weekend access to care out here. If you open up weekend days, they fill.
I own and run the clinic, and work full time in it. I’m very hands-off with your practice, and I assume you know what you’re doing with your patients. I don’t check your charts or anything like that since it’s ultimately your responsibility to take care of those things. All I care about are happy patients and happy practitioners!
This is a multidisciplinary clinic with a variety of practitioners: massage, acupuncture, psychology, medical aesthetics, and soon we will have an osteopath. Everyone does their own thing, we all get along, and it’s an awesome environment to work in.
I have branched into some medical aesthetics over the past few years and would be happy to train you to use Morpheus8, Evolve X, and Evoke. I also carry Vivier, a pharmaceutical-grade skincare line owned and made in Canada. You would receive staff pricing on the products (60% off retail!!) as well as commission on any sales just like dispensary sales. If you’re interested in integrative skincare, you’ll love these opportunities.
I have tons of plants in the clinic and am frequently adding more. All rooms are insulated with solid doors – no real sound transfer happens here. I am told daily this is a beautiful space, and I work hard to keep it so.
Important to consider: Canmore has a housing crisis. There is literally nowhere to rent here, so you would need to live in either Cochrane or Calgary and commute. There aren’t even rooms to rent…locals of 10+ years are being forced to move away because they can’t find a place to live.
