The Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors supports the health guidelines of federal, provincial and local public health agencies and the rigorous regulation and review processes of Health Canada.

Immunization education is an important component within the curriculum of Canada’s accredited naturopathic medical programs and naturopathic doctors (NDs) support public health guidelines in their practice.

Where immunization is within the regulated scope of practice for NDs, as in British Columbia, NDs certified to provide immunizations must follow the same BC Centre for Disease Control course and guidelines as other immunizers in the province.
