Dr. Klassen, ND has been a dedicated clinician since 2016, focusing her practice on patients with complex and unexplained illnesses. Passionate about community service, she has made significant contributions to the naturopathic profession. Dr. Klassen served on the Board of Directors for British Columbia’s Naturopathic Doctors (BCND) from 2020 to 2023, where she assumed the role of Vice-President in her first year and was elected President for 2022 and 2023. She was also a Founding Board Member of CiPRESS (Chronic Infection Pathology Related Education and Science Society) – a global alliance of researchers, healthcare professionals, and patients working together to transform the landscape of chronic infectious disease.
Since 2021, Dr. Klassen has also contributed her expertise to the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control’s (BCCDC) Community Antimicrobial Stewardship Program as an Advisory Committee member. Demonstrating her commitment to advancing naturopathic medicine, she developed Canada’s first and only CNME-accredited residency program specializing in vector-borne illnesses and chronic complex disease.
Dr. Klassen is an accomplished speaker who has presented on integrative approaches to chronic infection and immune dysfunction at numerous international conferences, including events in Germany, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the United States, Finland, and Mexico. In addition to her clinical work and acting role of CMO at Tandem Clinic, she is dedicated to educating the next generation of naturopathic doctors by mentoring students, supervising residents, and providing internship opportunities for CCNM students.
