Vital Link Case Review Tutorial
Webinar with Dr. Dugald Seely, MSc, ND
Why are case reviews important to naturopathic doctors?
Case reports can help close us an information gap, making naturopathic medicine and supporting research more accessible and meaningful to both NDs and other health professions.
In forthcoming issues of the Vital Link, we will focus our efforts on the publication of case reviews. Our aim is to increase the availability of naturopathic case reporting, and enhance our profession’s resource base for the benefit of NDs and allied health practitioners alike.
We have heard from NDs, who’ve expressed interest in attending a refresher seminar about writing case reviews. The below video features a webinar led by Dr. Dugald Seely, MSc, ND providing tips for case-review composition and an overview of the scoring rubric that the CAND uses to evaluate case report submissions for the Vital Link.
Dr. Dugald Seely, MSc, ND is the executive director for the Ottawa Integrative Cancer Centre, the executive director for the department of Research and Clinical Epidemiology at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a former member of the Vital Link review team, and the 2017 recipient of the Dr. Rogers Prize for Excellence in Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
